We are a tax exempt non profit that partners with dog guardians facing hardship. We offer grants for Veterinary expenses and Veterinary Behaviorist evaluation costs ( Please see “Eligibility Guidelines” link for details) Our Mission is to reduce preventable euthanasia and surrender that is attributed to hardship or behavioral issues. Please reach out to us before choosing to re-home or euthanize your dog.
We recently added Pet Loss Support Services with a certified Pet support Specialist. Our support services are donation based . If you are facing grief in the near future, currently grieving or struggling with complicated grief please fill out the “Intake Pet Loss Support Form” in the menu. We schedule with zoom or phone call, via email as well. I am available 7 days a week by email and I promise to respond as soon as possible.
Our goal is to offer support and resources with empathy and absent of judgment- the way Bo Ogopogo loved ( and all dogs for that matter) .
Bo Paws It Forward Grants
Basic Medical Care:
The Giselle Grant has a maximum, one time award of $200. This grant is intended to cover the costs of vaccines, heartworm testing, spay/neuter, microchip, and dental. This grant also covers medically necessary euthanasia. Applicant must demonstrate a need due to recent hardship or low/limited income. Dog must be an indoor only dog, no breeders will be considered.

Non-Basic Medical Care ie. Surgery:
The Bo Grant has a maximum, one time award of $500 (We reserve the right to extend more or less grant funds on a case-by-case basis). This grant is intended for non- basic medical costs such as surgeries, physical therapy, and procedures. Applicant must demonstrate a need due to recent hardship or low/limited income. Dog must be an indoor only dog, no breeders will be considered.

Veterinary Behavioral Evaluation:
The Elwood Grant has a maximum, one time award of $400 with an average award of $200. This grant is intended to cover the costs of approved, professional veterinary behaviorist evaluation. Applicant must demonstrate a need due to recent hardship or low/limited income. Dog must be an indoor only dog, no breeders will be considered

We offer grants when funds are available, and we do our best to work with Veterinarians and clinics to negotiate reduced rates and discounts so funding can go further.
